%X This literature review aims to create a comprehensive review of both traditional and new techniques and materials used in dental impression and their principal characteristics, specifically for patients that need a complete denture. This review will represent an opportunity to compile the vast information for professionals to get a general idea of all the procedures that can be used, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the acceptance they have among professionals and patients. In addition to this, this literature review will offer future perspectives for the development of new techniques and the adaptation of new technologies and materials.
