A prospective comparative clinical-laboratory study included 70 children aged 3-6 years, divided into two groups: a main group (n=35) with verified chronic oral candidiasis and a control group (n=35). All participants underwent a comprehensive dental examination to determine caries intensity indices (DMFT, DMFS) and oral hygiene status (OHI-S), parental questionnaire-based analysis of dietary habits, and microbiological culture for the detection and quantitative determination of Candida albicans.
